Layers of recordings of the same storm. Some with open mics, some with contact mics attached to window frames inside. Video lives here: youtu.be/xueeX86x5zE
This track is built of seven layers of AM radio, frequency generator, and guitar pedals, all plugged into multiple Y cables and lined into a single mono input on a USB audio interface. Buried in there is also an Alesis SR-16 drum machine and a stratocaster guitar, also plugged into the nest of Y adapters and recorded live with the rest.
If Disambiguation isn’t the gothic ambient album of the summer, it’s certainly the ideal soundtrack for sunbathing alone on a float at an abandoned community pool. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jul 12, 2018
